Stress is the number one workers compensation claim in the United States, and all levels of organizations suffer from compassion fatigue, burnout and the lack of engagement/organizational citizenship behavior. CST offers them a proven way to grow their interpersonal skills, compassion for both themselves, their fellow employees and tools to address burnout/compassion fatigue.
Undergraduate and graduate students are under an enormous amount of stress to pursue excellence. CST offers them a proven way to develop work ready interpersonal skills, compassion for self, for others, as well as develop resilience to pursue excellence in school.

Mentoring



BrightsityM is a tool for corporate/education/career mentoring that enables participants to answer specific questions and take actions to further protégé careers (think Match.com for mentors with an engaging system to motivate both parties intrinsically). The learning that occurs is both specific in the technical field being mentored, as well as psychosocial in building career awareness, confidence and networks.

Mentorship has a positive, long lasting impact on career, social and financial standing for both mentors and protégés:

The mentoring occurs at a mutually agreed time via embedded video chat. Participants go through 6 structured but open-ended sessions of mentoring, where relevant questions are provided to both the mentor and protégé. The participants are also offered assignments to complete as a team (introducing protégé to tools, expectations, associations, resume review, etc…).

  1. Both Mentor and Protégé complete an online application
  2. Both agree to a one quarter/semester minimum commitment
  3. Both agree to participate in web-based meetings with his or her protégé that average twice monthly at 45 minutes (average) per meeting
  4. Mentor and Protégé work toward mutually accepted goals, tracking accomplishments and receive credit for each achievement.
  5. Program ends at 3 months with new mentor/protégé!

Administration is easy with control over mentorship pairs, prevention of problem mentors/protégés and waitlists. Psychometric/outcome data is provided in easy to analyze spreadsheets.

BrightsityM arrives at a moment of great economic constraints and has a solid, measurable impact for career progression with applications for the educational ecosystem as well. Importantly BrightsityM can be used to facilitate mentoring relationships within associations and organizations for pre-selection realistic job preview as well as accreditation needs. The CST can be offered with many different points of emphasis. For example, in the healthcare context, it can focus on issues of burn out, vicarious trauma and empathy fatigue, utilized as a tool which offers psycho-education and peer support for doctors, nurses and mental health providers. Dimensions of personal wellbeing will be weaved together with synergistically enhancing systems functioning towards increased productivity.

The partner meetings take place online, via video-chat. Participants go through 8 predefined (but flexible) sessions of compassion development assignments, where relevant questions and discussion points are offered to complete as a team. Both partners complete an online application, agree to an eight session commitment, collaborate toward mutually accepted goals, tracking accomplishments and receive credit for each achievement. Each session consists of pre discussion psycho-educational reading (approx. 3-6 pages) and short self-directed exercises, leading into partner discussions. CST concludes after 8 weeks.
